The main task in this pilot project on presences of microscopic anthropogenic particles was to establish whether such particles were present in Norwegian waters (Skagerrak), amount of particles, and testing of methods for monitoring of such particles. During two pelagic surveys on along the fixed transect between Arendal and Hirtshals, the concentration of potential anthropogenic particles was measured using a new sampling method for monitoring purposes.
