Norsk Hydro commissioned Akvaplan-niva AS to carry out the regional environmental survey of the Region III in the North Sea (contract agreement 5104492). The fields included in the survey are Troll A, Troll B, Troll C, TOGI, Oseberg Sør, Oseberg Øst, Oseberg C, Oseberg Feltsenter, Brage, Huldra and Veslefrikk. In addition, samples from 7 regional stations were collected. The samples from Troll A, Huldra and Veslefrikk were collected by Det Norske Veritas. Three of the seven regional stations were sampled jointly by Akvaplan-niva and Det Norske Veritas, and the remainder by Akvaplan-niva. All fieldwork, comprising a total of 161 stations from the region, was carried out from 16-29 May 2001.
