StatoilHydro commissioned (SAP4501530940) Section of Applied Environmental Research at Unifob AS to undertake the monitoring survey of Region IV in 2008. Region IV is situated at Tampen in the northern North Sea. The survey included Statfjord ABC, Statfjord Nord, Statfjord Øst, Nordflanken, Gullfaks ABC, Gullfaks Satellitter, Visund, Visund nord, Snorre B, Snorre TLP/UPA, Vigdis, Vigdis D, Vigdis F, Tordis, Sygna and Kvitebjørn. Sampling was conducted from M/V Esvagt Connector between May 20 and June 4. All together samples were collected from 247 sampling sites of which 15 sampling sites were regional sampling sites.
